Hi, I’m Dale.

I’m a self-taught watercolour artist and emerging surface pattern designer based in Ontario, Canada. I create designs that blend natural textures and soft, welcoming colour.

My work is inspired by the outdoors, from coastal paths to quiet forest and river trails. There is such beauty in our natural environment.

Beginning with hand drawn elements, my designs feature soft textures and colours shaped by the natural world around me. The scent of pine needles along the river trails, the shifting tones of each season, and the way light filters through the trees all find their way into my work.

My path into surface pattern design grew from a lifelong love of fabric and sewing. I wanted to see my own illustrations on textiles, to sew baby apparel with my own prints, and to imagine my artwork on wallpaper and home goods that add warmth and beauty to everyday spaces.

That dream continues to guide my creative journey today.
